Frequently Asked Questions
Will this slow down my site?
No. widget.js is a small loader (a few KB) that injects an iframe — it does not pull the face-detection model or MediaPipe into your page's bundle. The heavier work loads lazily inside the iframe only once a visitor interacts with it.
Does it work on Shopify, WordPress, or a static site?
Yes. The snippet is plain HTML and JavaScript with no build step or SDK, so it drops into a Shopify theme file, a WordPress custom HTML block, Webflow embed, or any static page the same way.
Is visitor photo data sent to your servers?
No. All face analysis runs client-side in the visitor's own browser via MediaPipe. Neither faceshapedetector.app nor your server ever receives the photo.
What is the difference between Free and Pro?
Free requires no key and includes full face shape detection, but shows a small "Powered by FaceShapeDetector.app" badge. Pro removes the badge for a fully unbranded widget and can optionally be restricted to your domain.
Can I run it on multiple pages or multiple widgets on one page?
Yes. Reuse the same container id across pages, or add several widgets to a single page using the data-faceshape-widget attribute instead of a shared id.
